Behind the camera
Yulin Kuang wrote and directed the adaptation; she also has a connection to Emily Henry’s screen world, having co-written the other recent Henry adaptation. Kuang posted early on about filming and later confirmed that principal photography has wrapped, so the movie is now in editing land.
Release details
Unlike the streaming-only path taken by People We Meet on Vacation, Beach Read is heading to theaters. The release has even been nudged forward a week, with a French premiere set for May 5, 2027. No exact global schedule yet, but keep an eye out for more dates soon.
